Collecting, restoring and driving old model railways can be a real addiction. By Claudio Molfa (published by Cavallotti) is the 110 page, 1978, published work, "Marklin - 1934/35 - 1954." There the models of that time are shown on the basis of catalog illustrations, the work is rounded off by a description of the characteristics of each model series . All models in Italian, French and German are described. 
An interesting source, especially for really rare pieces that are auction catalogs. Older copies will be offered from time to time, cheap, a good source catalogs from Christie's auction catalogs and Vectis.Diese are sometimes offered in boarding school auctions, with some luck, the lists are also in the actual auction results, these appear to offer few surprises.

I could ebay auctions last week in a manual MIBA Märklin 00/H0 1988 (Editor Joachim Kampmann). No one was interested in and I got it for € 1.
The book is strictly chronological order by Marklin numbers. The images are printed right next to the model description, although rather small, but we must not turn over constantly. There are also details in there that I did not know of Koll.
Interestingly, the prices are around 20 years ago, especially with accessories, which was probably hardly Seinerzeit asked. So the price for the so-looking cast iron bridge piers in just 2 DM! And just as "high" is the price for a model piece of track 3900er Series.
The book does indeed logically the end of 1987, but what came after that, the table Bahner interested probably already barely.
So Maybe a tip, if they ever again appear in ebay!
